You can use the federal ID number that is listed in box "b" if there is not a state ID number listed on your W2 in box "15".

Then run the Review again for errors.

I tried this but it was rejected by federal and state.  I already paid the $27 to file electronically with the state so to mail in feels like I am throwing my money away

You may still be able to fix your return and file it electronically.

 

Sign in to your TurboTax account.  You will see a button that says Fix my return

 

Once you select that, the program will walk you through the steps or information needing to be corrected to fix your return.

If you have already filed and had paid for the e-file using the downloaded software, please use the following link to contact us.
