My dividends 1099-div is not updating

Explain what you are entering or editing on the 1099-DIV.

As an example, entries in box 2a don't get added to the Dividend $$ number...those $$$ are transferred over to the capital gains sheets, and used on the Schedule D (if the sched D is needed)
