My daughter is away at college and is renting an apartment there. Do I say she lived with me the whole year or not?

It depends.  If she is only there temporarily for college, then yes, you would say she still lives with you.  This would be considered a temporary absence which is treated as having lived with you, even if they are paying rent on an apartment off campus for the time they are in school.

If she has made a permanent move to the place she is living, then you would say she does not live with you.
