Please explain "needed to claim herself." The rule is that if someone CAN be claimed they are supposed to say they can be claimed as someone else's dependent----even if the person does not claim them,
She is a college student, but claimed herself because she missed the stimulus last year, needs to be independent for grants, and other education benefits. True or not, she already filed. The Turbotax questions do not ask if the dependent claimed themselves, only goes through the all the other dependent qualifying questions.
Sounds like she filed incorrectly and you want to file incorrectly too. So take any mention of her off your own return. You cannot claim any eduction credits or even the $500 credit for other dependents for her.
If your daughter is not your dependent any longer, you can delete her information from My Info section on the left:
