My daughter (21 yrs old) moved in May 15th she was unemployed from then till dec , i supported her . why cant i claim her as a dependant?

If she wasn't a full-time student for at least part of 5 months of the year, and she had income of $4050 or more for 2017, you can't claim her no matter how much support you provided.

The cut-off for income for a Qualifying Relative is $4050. Please see Rules for Claiming a Dependent under Qualifying Relative.

My son turned 26 so he camoff my insurance. He has medical issues and can’t work right now so I provide all of his support but we did sign him up with Covered California to ease that burden. I’m wondering if I can still claim him as a dependent?
