My child was born Nov 1st, 2019. I won't be able to get her social before the deadline. Should I file without her info and amend or file an extension?

You have until July 15, 2020 to file your return. You can file without her & then amend your return to add her to your return. Put that she lived with all year, a baby born any time of the tax year, is considered as living with you all year.

Amended returns must be mailed & they can take up to 16 weeks to process. Also, any refund due with an amended return is sent by check, there is no direct deposits on amended returns.

You cannot claim the child as a dependent without a SSN. The filing deadline has been extended to July 15, 2020. That is plenty of time to get the SSN. Usually you get it before you even leave the hospital--what it taking so long? Have you called Social Security? it has already been months.
