My Child received a 1099-NEC

My 9yo child received a 1099-NEC for money ($4185) she received from selling her animal through our local 4H club. Do I need to fill this for her separate from mine?

You need to file this separate from your own return since it is considered earned income.

When entering this into TurboTax, be sure to indicate that this is not income from her usual occupation so that it is properly classified as "other" income and not self-employment income subject to self-employment tax.

Thank you! It definitely lowered the amount owed by changing it from self employment income. It now asked for my info and raised the amount owed again. Is this normal?

Yes, it's normal if the income is subject to Kiddie tax (read more here). This tax is reported on form 8615.  This form asks for parent's information, that is why the program is asking you for your information.  Once you print the return, you can review the form in details.
