My child does not have SSN in states. My wife and I have US SSN. The form asks us to put down child's SSN before can move forward. what should i enter?

You will need to apply for an ITIN number for your child on Form W-7.  This form can be obtained from the IRS, either online or from an IRS office.

You can mail in your return with the Form W-7 (or take it to an IRS office), as you will not be able to Efile.

Thank you so much. So for now, I am in the middle of filling up turbo tax, should I leave the entries for my child's ITIN blank? This is the first time I am using turbo tax. Am I able to print out the filled tax forms from turbo tax after filling up everything and mail print-outs to IRS office?
