My broker keeps updating the tax documents for 2020 ... do I have to manually input the changes or can I just download the updated documents?

I e-filed the 2020 taxes and now have to amend them ...

Amend will not be available in TurboTax until late March.  Do not attempt to amend your return before the amend function is there.  When it is available you will click the Amend button and have the option to download your transactions again.  

You can also enter your 1099-B by using just the summary of each sales category.

Enter a large number of stock transactions in TurboTax

delete the first import before importing or you will have everything in duplicate.

make the changes manually if they are simple enough.
