If he did not live in your home for the entire year or his income in 2023 was $4.700 or more you cannot claim him as a dependent on your tax return.
Did your BF live with you all year in 2023 and have less than $4700 of income -- not counting any Social Security? If so, he might be a "qualifed relative" dependent for whom you can get a $500 credit for other dependents.

@alisha3352 You have two different threads going in the forum. Sounds like your BF's mother is trying to get you to claim her son and her other child. Why? Is she unable to claim either of them herself? Did they live with you all year in 2023? Did you support them?
