My adult child lives with us. If we claim her as a dependent (she qualifies), do we become responsible for her debt?
She is married but separated, unable to work due to health, but not on disability. She will not file married-jointly or be claimed as a dependent by anybody else.

By claiming your adult child as a dependent, you will not be responsible for her debt.
Even if she had back tax debt, the IRS cannot intercept your refund to repay her debt.
