I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

  • Do you and your wife have a joint brokerage account?
    • In that case, the first listed is considered the owner.
  • Have you gotten 1099-B's for the accounts?
    • You may be able to download them.
    • You can enter them manually.
  • Have you contacted the brokerage firm to request what you're missing?

We do not have joint accounts, but our accounts are linked. The only ones accessed were mine and not also my wife's. When I tried to access my wife's using the add function, I got a page that asked what brokerage I wanted to access, I answered the same brokerage that I had used for mine. I then got a page that had my accounts as before. How to I add my wife's accounts?

Does your wife have a different account number? Or is it included in your account?

Did you check your imported records to see if her data is included?

Did you download a hard copy of the documents and compare to what is posted?

As a final alternative, you can manually enter her information from a hard copy.

I have not gotten a satisfactory answer and still cannot finish my taxes. Worst answer that I got was to enter manually. That is not what I am paying for.

The problem is in your cookies and cache. The brokerage firm has been accessed and it is going back to your information. Follow these steps:

  1. Clear cache and cookies,
  2. Log back into return
  3. Add her brokerage account.
