My 16 year old son worked last year and received a w-2 how do I claim him on my taxes where he will still be able to complete his taxes as well

My 16 year old son worked last year and received a w-2 how do I claim him on my taxes where he will still be able to complete his taxes as well
You claim your son as usual on your tax return. You do not enter his income on your tax return.
If he had more than $6300 of W-2 income, he must file a tax return. If he had less income, he is not required to file but should file if he had federal income tax withheld in order to get a refund.
If he files a return, make sure he indicates on the return that he can be claimed by someone else.
