My 16 year old made $155. I made $535 on lottery. My other income is non-taxable. Can I file a return with this amount?

Can I add my daughter's income of $155 to my return. Can I even do a return since I am medically retired and my income is tax-exempt? I did win $535 on the lottery.

If you only have $535 of lottery winnings as taxable income, you are not required to file a tax return.

You do not add your child's income to your tax return. If your child's income is $155, he is not required to file a tax return. However, if this income is wages and he has tax withheld on his W-2, he can file a tax return to claim a refund of tax withheld.
