My 1099 misc is from a percentage of my ex's retiement how do i file that

You'll enter this income by opening your return and typing "1099-misc" into the search box and clicking on the "Jump to" link in the search results. On the next screen +Add 1099-MISC. Enter the information exactly as it is reported on the 1099-Misc form, then Continue. You can Describe the reason for this 1099-MISC as "Ex-spouse Retirement" or similar. On the next screen click None of these apply. Answer "No, it didn't involve work like XXXXX's main job." on the next screen then Continue. Select "XXXX got it in 2018" on the next screen, then Continue. Finally, select No, it didn't involve an intent to earn money and click Continue. If you're not entering any additional 1099-Misc forms, click select "No", and Continue, then you're done.
