Multiple Accounts and tax history

I have an original account based on one of my emails. I have used that account for many years up until 2023. I used a new account based on another email due to doing my dad's estate with support of an accountant. this included doing my 2024 taxes myself on that new account. 

I want to go back and use my original account to do 2025 taxes. Will turbo tax be able to get tax history between the two accounts? or, will i need to enter that info manually?

TurboTax does not transfer tax history between different accounts, each account is separate. You’ll need to manually enter prior-year info.

Can i just move the 2024 file or import it while doing 2025 on the original account? Or are you saying that i have to reenter all the 2024 forms all over again into a separate license ? Does that also mean i have to buy 2024 federal and state forms again just to get data i already paid for and filed?

Note/clarification:

• my original account has tax years 2014 through 2023. 
• last year i used a new account for 2024,  but i don't recall having any tax history challenges
• this year i want to go back to using original account, but it looks like it already prepaid me to be on the new account. I have already downloaded the app and used that license

What would be your advice to clean this up?

@cjhuesman Download the tax data file from the 2024 online account to your computer.  When you start the 2025 tax return you can transfer the 2024 tax data file to the 2025 tax return.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download .tax file

i have only been using TT Desktop. I am assuming the procedure is similar?

Also, noticed i have been asked for license again trying to open 2024. I am assuming the SSD upgrade i did to have more storage available to use TT Desktop is an issue. I cannot go back to the old SSD due to lack of space available. is there a help number to get 2024 and 2025 re-activated?

@cjhuesman Your original message indicated you had been using the TurboTax online editions based on your email address and you created a new online account based on a different email address.

I answered you based on that information.  You download the 2024 online tax data filed to your computer.  When you start the 2025 online account you can transfer the 2024 tax data file you downloaded to the 2025 online tax return.

The TurboTax desktop editions installed on a personal computer are not email dependent.  You purchase the software and install on your computer using the individual 16 digit license code for each tax year.
