Multiple 1099s for joint return

When I connected to Fidelity to automatically transfer my tax forms I received 2 1099s for me and 2 1099s for my wife. Why is the software creating 2 1099s for me and my wife? Should I delete the duplicate forms? Both forms have identical information on them. Thank-you.

Yes, delete the duplicate. If you jointly own the account, sounds like they created a 1099 for each of you.
