I am a bit confused with the moving expenses part. In October, I moved to California from Massachusetts.
My employer helped me with my relocation through this 3rd party company. I was reimbursed by my employer for my expenses including pre-move househunting, en route - travel, temporary living, transportation of household goods, miscellaneous allowance and my first month rent. According to this third party's tax information document, all theses expenses are Wages - W-2 Reportable. For now, I did not type all these expenses in my Turbotax file since I am not sure if I should do so. Please let me know if you know the answer. Thanks in advance.

Moving expenses are not deductible on a federal tax return except for active military on Permanent Change of Station orders. Some states may still have this moving expense as a deduction on the state tax return.
It seems like California has this moving expense as a deduction on the state tax return under certain condition that I already satisfy.
