My family moved to WA from AZ, and live in WA for a whole year in 2024. I have some interest and dividends income from my bank accounts that I opened in AZ before. One is a local bank in AZ I believe, and the other one is Wellsfargo. The general rule is that I need to report all income from AZ as AZ income to do my AZ state tax return. I am not sure if I still need to report the interest and dividends as AZ income. Should I still need to report the interest and dividends income as AZ income to do my AZ state tax return after moved to another state? Thank you.

You report all your world-wide income on the state tax return where your permanent residence is located, regardless of where the source of the income is located. If you have changed your permanent location to Washington state, this is Washington state income (which has no state income tax).
The only income that would be taxable (as a non-resident) in Arizona would be certain types of income that are connected to Arizona. This includes things like:
Bank interest, dividends, and stock market trades are not considered "Arizona source" income even if the bank or company issuing the dividend is located in Arizona.
If you lived in Washington the whole year you owe no state tax to Arizona since it doesn’t tax passive income for non residents. And you owe no tax on that income in Washington since it has no state income tax.
Thank you so much for your advise!
