Hi I was wondering if anyone knows how to resolve this issue when trying to import my Merril Edge data.
My 1099 is already available on Merrill but when I try to import via TurboTax I get an error message that says to contact Merrill for assistance.
Has anyone worked through this?
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
If you are using TurboTax Online, try importing using a different browser.
See the following TurboTax Help articles for potential fixes:
If you are having reCaptcha issues, make sure your computer is up to date. This has worked for many users.
If you still have issues, see this article where you can sign up for updates: Why am I getting an invalid site key reCAPTCHA error in TurboTax Desktop when trying to import broke...
did you contact Merrill? They may also just not be ready to import even if you have 1099 in hand. Major brokerages are still processing 1099s.
I did call Merrill they said something about doing a login online then signing into merill and then signing on again.
Though I'm using desktop and as soon as try to sign in, it says to contact Merill. I suppose I can wait a couple days to see if that will work.
I'm using the Desktop TurboTax deluxe, but it doesn't get to the point of having a Recaptcha to show up. I was able to import my fidelity documents no problem. Just the Merril Edge is proving to have difficulties.
Make sure your computer is up to date. Check if a Windows update is available.
Having the same issues with downloading from Merrill Edge.
in another thread some folks reported success after changing their Merrill Edge password for whatever reason.
I tried this and it worked...that's a bit of a weird solution but thank you for the tip!
