Where do I enter my medicare premium paid in 2016 for 2017? I had insurance through the marketplace for all of 2016.

Medicare premiums are generally entered with your social security income. The SSA 1099 reports your gross benefits, any voluntary Federal taxes withheld, and Medicare premiums withheld from your benefits. If there were Medicare premiums paid that were not reported with your SSA-1099, you would report those premiums has health insurance premiums in the Medical Expense section of the program.

You can navigate to these locations by doing the following:

1. Click on My Account at the top of the window.
2. Click on the Tools link in the dropdown menu.
3. Click on Topics Search, and type either health insurance premiums or Medicare Premiums.
