No. You were not married in 2021. Next year when you prepare your 2022 tax return you can file a joint return. For 2021 you are both single, or maybe one of you is head of household if you have a qualifying dependent for 2021.

If you live in a state that recognizes common law marriage, and if you took the steps required under state law to be recognized as married (this is more complicated than most people realize) then you are also married for tax purposes. Otherwise, you are single for your 2021 returns, even though you lived together and got married in 2022.
