To be a qualifying relative, the person must meet all of the tests below
• If not closely related, lived in your home all year
• Have less than $4050 gross income in 2016(social security does not count toward support)
• Receive more than half their annual support from you
• Is a U.S. citizen, U.S. resident alien, U.S. national, or a resident of Canada or Mexico for part of the year
• Are not claimed as a dependent by another taxpayer
