Married filing separately and EITC
My husband and I have been separated since 2015. Last year we filed jointly. This year I would like to file separately. We have 3 children and I am the custodial parent. Can I file for the EITC?

You might try to file as Head of Household, then you would qualify for the EITC

You cannot file for EITC if the filing status is married filing separately.
