Married couple no kids live in Washington State where is no income tax , wife works for a carlifornia company, can we file federal tax by Married joint but single for one state tax?

My wife and I live in Washington, my company is based in seattle, but my wife's company is based in Los Angeles.

Since washington doesn't has income tax, Can we file federal tax together (married joint) and file my wife's california state income as a single?

If yes, how to file it ?

Thanks

You would need to file married-joint in California if you did the same on your federal tax return, unless you were in a registered domestic partnership, as per this excerpt from the instructions to form 540NR:
