Mailed '17 return 4/11; not entered yet. IRS rejectd '18 efile cause they don't recog. '17 AGI. Anything to do but mail '18 return? How long for IRS 2 entr '17 when rcvd?

IRS hasn't entered the '17 return yet (I was stupid and waited 'til 4/11 to snail mail it), guess the mail is really backed up on Apr 15. I was hoping it would be entered by now so '18 efile return would go thru but it was kicked back since they don't have my 2017 AGI entered to compare it to what I entered on '18 efile. Would it do any good to wait a couple of days before mailing the '18 return? I don't want it to be late.....that may put my $4 refund in jeopardy! Lol......how quickly would they have my 2017 entered? Thoughts? Hopefully in the next 24-36 hours? Thank you!

Your best option would be to mail the 2018 return.  There is no way to know how long it will take for your 2017 return to be processed and put in the system.  Given that it was only mailed a few days ago, it may not have even arrived yet.
