Hi there - a bit of a weird situation.
I used the TurboTax Premier Mac product to e-file my 2020 return for Federal and NY State last year.
Soon after filing and getting my refunds, my laptop hard drive crashed and I lost my turbotax files permanently.
As I'm trying to file my 2021 refund now, I was able to generate transcripts to recover the Federal information that I had filed/put in my 2020 return.
The place where I'm stuck is my 2021 NY state refund - in TurboTax I'm being asked to input 2020 numbers, but I don't have access to this information.
The specific form I'm looking for is IT-203 (Nonresident and Part-Year Resident Income Tax Return) that I filed last year.
The next step I took is to create a NYC State Online Services (Individual) account via tax.ny.gov where I understand I can find a transcript of my 2020 NY state return.
Sadly once I get here, I'm asked to input two numbers in particular: (1) Taxable income reported on your return and (2) Requested refund amount - from my 2020 return
I was able to look up the number for (2) in my checkings account history.
But now sadly stuck on (1). Without this, it is not letting me create the account as the numbers are not matching up in their back end system
I would be super grateful if anyone has any advice how I can get access to the overall form/return based on the steps I've tried.
I'm guessing calling is an option but likely a black hole. And given I e-filed using the desktop product, I don't think TurboTax would have my transcript either
thank you!

1. File an extension with New York.
2. Go to this page and read up on DTF-505, with which you can request a copy of a prior year return by mail.
