looks like I'm set up for deluxe service but I only need the free version - how do i change it?

If you started in the Free Edition of TurboTax, you may have entered something that triggered an upgrade to a paid version. The final fees are determined by the forms that are required to complete your individual return. States are also extra, and there are some add-ons that  you can agree to buy. 

 

Follow these steps to downgrade to a different TurboTax Online product:

1. Open your return if you haven't already.
2. In the left menu, select Switch Products.
3. Select Downgrade.

You can review your fees using the instructions below to find out why you're being charged. 

 

You can review your fees in TurboTax Online as follows:

1. Go to the left side of your screen under "Tax Home"
2. Go to "Tax Tools" then "Tools"
3. The "Tools Center" Box will pop up
4. Click on "My Fees" to see a summary of your Turbo Tax Fees.
