Long Term Capital Gain - No 1099

How do I enter a Long Term Capital Gain if I did not receive a 1099? The gain was from a class action settlement involving a stock purchase. The claims administrator did not include a 1099 with the settlement check. From a previous discussion in this forum, I determined the settlement is a Long Term Gain.

You enter that as an investment sale. You enter investment sales in the Wages and Income section of TurboTax, then Investments Sales, then Stocks, cryptocurrency, Mutual Funds, Bonds, etc... Skip the section where it asks if you want to upload your tax documents. Choose Stock, Bonds, Mutual Funds as the type of investment you want to enter. You'll come to a screen where you can enter in your sales proceeds and cost basis. For the date of acquisition, enter a date that is more than one year from the sale date to get long-term capital gain treatment.
