Lived in two different states, earned in two different states, taxed in two different states

Please help.  Turbotax is considering my full annual income for my MD taxes, and not a partial income.  I lived in MD from Jan - Sept then moved to Virginia.  I had MD taxes taken out until I switched to VA ones in Sept.  The state turbotax program is not differentiating the time in the MD software.  The VA software is identifying the time.  How do I fix this?

Check Maryland. Does TurboTax say you are filing as a part-year resident? On the screen We've Recommended a Residency Status TurboTax should say Part-Year Resident (Form 502).

Later you'll see Additional Info for Part-Year Residents. Enter your Virginia income here. Maryland subtracts non-MD income for part-year residents.

You should see the number on Form 502 line 12 (Income received during period of nonresidence).

Thank you so very much!!!

I have similar issue.  Started in MD, moved to TX.  I set the residency in MD to be Part Year and put in the dates -- they are there each time.  I even have the W2 Line 16 set to MD with the State Wages amount.

The MD tax due is way off.  When I look at the output (PDF) and can see Form 502 has none of the part-year residency info I entered, and line 12 has no value, so TurboTax is having me pay tax in MD the entire year.
