If my refund is higher then when i filed and i have a deposit date but it has a tax topic for a off set ...could it be because they changed my amount even tho its higher

Let me show you why your refund may have changed. A refund offset usually decreases the amount you receive because a portion is used to pay off past due debt. The IRS also sometimes makes changes based on mathematical and computational errors. This could have caused your gross refund to increase or decrease. In both cases, expect to receive a explanatory letter in the mail from the IRS that explains any changes made.
