Last year I had market plan insurance for only 5 month. The other 7 month I went through another company. How do apply this to my tax return?

You will in complete the Health Insurance section of Turbo Tax. If you were covered all year, you will indicate that "I had health insurance coverage all year."

Because you had Marketplace Insurance, you will indicate yes to " Was anyone enrolled in any of these less common plans in 2016?"

You should receive a form 1095 A for your Marketplace insurance. You will enter the information from your 1095 A form that you received for the Obamacare policy.Enter the form as written adding information only for the months you were covered by Obamacare.

You do not need to enter any information for the policies that were not through the marketplace.
