Question

K1 box 11 and box 13 not flowing into schedule E

I have a K1 issued by a foreign limited partnership (investment fund) and the numbers on box 11 and box 13 aren't flowing into schedule E or 1040. I think I've spent at least a week trying to figure this out...Am I missing something?

Box 11 code ZZ - other income

Box 13 code ZZ- other deductions

The deduction amount is higher than the income. The number in the nonpassive income column on schedule E p2 is showing 0.

Thanks in advance.

ZZ is not a specific item. it can be one of multiple items.

after entering them, there's supposed to be another window that opens that allows you to specify what it is

for 11zz it cab be nonpassive income which flows diredly to schedule e or other which you have to reenter on some other form

    similar action required for 13zz

however, I found that on desktop, for 2023 and 2024, entering 11ZZ does not open a new window to enter what it is. I don't know if this issue exists in the 2025 apps. the issue dioes not exist for 13zz

if you encounter this issue for 11zz, you'll need to contact support.

    Thanks for the reply!

I'm using TurboTax Desktop (2025). When I enter the numbers in a separate window, the worksheet creates 3 separate rows on Schedule E for the same partnership (same EIN) — one row from the K-1 itself showing $0, a second row for the income, and a third row for the deductions. Is there a way to consolidate these onto a single row for the partnership? Or is filing with multiple rows under the same EIN acceptable?

Should I contact support to further help?

As long as you have entered all of the information as reported on your Schedule K-1, TurboTax should take that input and report it on the correct tax form, as applicable.  Please see How do I enter Schedule K- Box 11 Code ZZ for additional guidance.

If you would still like to have an expert review your entries, please see What is an Expert Review and how can I schedule one for instructions to add this service.
