Just because i received a 1099 G. I now need the deluxe? I didnt need that last year. And also why am i being charged for to file for state?

Depending on what your tax situation was last year, you might need to use new tax forms to claim the same deductions, credits, or forms of income. If you are required to upgrade to Deluxe, there is the initial fee that covers federal and an additional fee if you decide to file state.  To see the forms included with each specific program, please go to https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/online/free-edition.jsp and scroll down the page until you see the words "tax forms". Click on tax forms and you can compare each product based on their supported forms.
