If you are wanting to use your bank account, you can set up a direct debit payment plan with the IRS.

If you are wanting to make a one-time payment for what is owed and you are paying with your bank account, you can make a guest payment from your bank account by selecting pay with check or money order. Please see the help article below for more information:

Something else is wrong if you owe money and it is asking if you want to pay with refund.  Use the Chrome browser and clear browsing data for all time before you login to TurboTax.  Are you paying Intuit or the IRS?

Exactly - I'm paying the IRS.  I've already bought the software from Turbo Tax.

-I go to E-file, put in all direct deposit info for Fed/State.  Everything's good to go

-When I get to the final "payment arrow" (if that makes sense - up top). It asks how I want to pay (refund - I don't get one or credit card - I don't want to do this as there are fees with it and it's not asking me what I want to pay for).  It's like there's a glitch.

- I called and spoke with someone last night but he didn't have any ideas and his support desk didn't have any ideas either.

I'm stuck.

I'm not using a browser - bought through Amazon.  Downloaded that way - so it's like using a CD/DVD version of the software, not web.  Unfortunately

*UPDATE - They payment TT wanted was to pay for the state tax return.  Not sure if that's accurate but I'm over and done with it and will deal with it next year.

You cannot see it, but when the desktop version of TurboTax gets to the filing section, it connects to the internet using Chrome.  So weird as it seems, browsing data can cause problems on the filing section.  So happy that you did get this straightened out.
