Turbotax suggests deadline is past for filing 2018 extension

I will receive a k1 usually late (re 2018). why would turbotax suggest the deadline has passed?

Its referring to an extension for last year (2017).  The 2018 extension process won't be open until mid-March.

Is this the case every year or just this year for some reason?

This is terrible UX to imply that the deadline has passed (referring to 2017 tax returns) when it's March 8 2019 and there is a very strong assumption to make that one is operating and trying to extend 2018 taxes. At the minimum, provide more information about "you may be trying to extend your 2018 tax return; that feature isn't available yet". And please tell me how I can get the last 10 minutes of my life back.
