Itemized deductions higher than State and Local Income Taxes withheld

Based on the TurboTax calculation, my itemized deductions for 2025 are over $24K. However, my W2 shows that only $13K in state income taxes were withheld.

I paid about $220 in NJ state tax balance due in 2025 for my 2024 tax year and received $6K refunds from NY state.

I also paid $9.6K in federal tax balance due in 2025 for my 2024 tax year.

No other tax payments were made in 2025.

I do not own a home or car, I did not pay property taxes.

Why is there a ~ $11K discrepancy in the deductions calculation?

There are other possible deductions besides state income tax. The most common are medical expenses and contributions to charity. Look at Schedule A and see what deductions TurboTax is including. Look at the actual tax form, not a summary screen in TurboTax.

Also double-check all of your state tax entries on your W-2 and elsewhere. Look for entry errors including repeated or transposed digits, extra digits, misplaced decimal points, etc. We can't see your tax return.

The federal tax payment is not deductible. It should not be entered anywhere. Did you mistakenly enter it somewhere that caused it to be counted as a deduction?

Thank you for your response.
I did not claim any donations or medical expenses, and since I am using the online version, I was unable to view my Schedule A without paying first.
I triple-checked all W2 entries, and they all look correct. The state taxes I am preparing pulled the correct numbers from the W2, so I do not believe there are any entry errors.
I did not enter federal tax payment.
The only potential outstanding item is a ~$9K listed as "move" in W2 BOX 14, and I selected "Other" for the category as I entered it in Turbotax, but I do not think that would be counted as a deduction.
