Your 1099R comes from a bank or financial institution.  Who sent it to you?

Is it trying to make you import it from the bank?

Scroll down to the bottom and pick.....I’ll type it in myself

It doesn't have to be a bank.  Go by the Payer on your form.  See the info below.

If not importing, skip the financial institution search line and the logos.  That part is only for people who want to import the 1099-R.  And TurboTax can only import from affiliated partners.  Instead, scroll down the screen and at the bottom right is a gray button "I'll type it in myself." 

That gray button may not be visible until you scroll down.

Click that gray button, and on the next screen it will ask "what type" of 1099-R.   Answer that, and then on the following screen you can start entering your 1099-R.

The Payer does not have to be a bank or a typical financial institution.  Use the Payer shown on your 1099-R form.
