Check your email spam folder.

Was it Accepted? You can check your efile status here https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/ef...>

and When you log into your account you should also see the status and if it was Accepted or Rejected, Started, Printed, Ready to Mail, etc. what does it say?

Turbo Tax just gives you an estimated date. Only the IRS controls when they send it. What does the IRS say? IRS Where's my refund https://www.irs.gov/refunds/

Make sure you are using the refund amount from your actual federal tax return and not the combined amount Turbo Tax showed you at the end. That was for federal and state combined.

If the IRS "Where's My Refund" tool says it's still processing, we can tell you how to speak to a live IRS agent.

You wrote: "I have a child in need."
If you don't get good info or results when you speak to the IRS, we can tell you how to contact the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service to tweak things. If you have a hardship, the Taxpayer Advocate is more willing to help expedite things.

I went ahead and left you an answer below with information on all that.

You said the efile status tool showed your return was "accepted." Does this IRS tool say your return is still being processed?

No one but the IRS will know what all they are doing with your return. Some returns require extra processing due to specific items in the return. Some are pulled at random for more processing.

If that tool above shows that your Federal return has been processing longer than 21 days, you can phone the IRS to see if you can learn anything about the delay.

IRS: 800-829-1040 hours 7 AM - 7 PM local time Mon-Fri

Listen to each menu before making the selection.

First choose your language. Press 1 for English.

  • Then do NOT choose the first choice re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
  • Instead, press 2 for "personal income tax".
  • Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
  • Then press 3 "for all other questions."
  • Then press 2 "for all other questions." It should then transfer you to an agent, but there is likely to be a long wait.
I usually use a speakerphone so I can work on something else while waiting.

If you don't get good info or results from the IRS, you could contact the IRS Taxpayer Advocate for your area. At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.
