It's saying I can't file because my form's aren't ready. I will NOT file form 6251, and Form 8911 HAS been released by the IRS.

Form 8911 is not scheduled to be available in TurboTax until 2/11/22. You must wait until it is available in TurboTax before you can file your return and include it. Just because the IRS has released the paper form dos not mean that they have written and  released the e-file specifications (Schema) for that form to e-file providers and done end-to-end testing with the e-fie providers to be sure that their software is compatible with the IRS computer (which the IRS must also program}.   That can take 3-6 weeks after the paper form is released.   The IRS is very shorthanded so expect everything to be delayed this year.

Forms are not ready then you have to wait until the system is updated with the completed forms.  Several forms are still in process.  I suggest that you wait a few days then try again.

So, I am getting this same message, but now the page linked above shows form 8911 not expected until 03/17/2022. I've never filed my taxes so late. Is it really expected to take that long?

That is the current projected date for Form 8911. However, the date is subject to change. You can monitor the form's status through the Forms Availability link provided above or by clicking the link in this help article: IRS forms availability table for TurboTax individual (personal) tax products
