It’s said my return says some one else can claim me. I filed married separate. No one else should be able to claim me how do we fix that so I can get my stimulus check?

I just want my stimulus check. I never check any box that some one else could claim me. What do I do it’s say that someone else could claim me I filed married separate

You can use the link below to check the status of your stimulus payment.  If you were claimed by someone else, that will prevent you from receiving the advance payment in 2020.   However, when you file your 2020 tax return and no one claims you, you will get the payment as part of your refund next year.   So, you will still get it, but it may be delayed.  

Stimulus payments will be based on information from your most recent tax filings, either 2019, or 2018 if you haven't filed this season yet. But, the amount paid to you now will be reconciled on next year’s tax return based on your current 2020 situation.
