It seems with the last update on January 16th, 2026, I still cannot enter my retirement income. Are the forms not ready? Got a TT email saying my forms were ready. My Desktop TT Deluxe software says "available soon." Anyone else having this issue or is it just me? I've downloaded and installed the software on another computer and get the same message. Feedback welcomed. Thanks.

it's not an issue with your install, everyone is waiting on it. ignore the email signup there is a bug requesting info on the wrong form. The section is expected to open next week 1/21 so check for the s/w update then or 1/22.
see
"The target date for Form 1099-R is still 1/21/26. The wrong form 3903 issue for email sign up has been identified and is in the process of being corrected.
In the meantime, you can use the 1099-R Worksheet in FORMS to fill in your pension amounts to continue tax calculations. "
OK, thank you for the info. Much appreciated.
Yes, just tried to enter my retirement income on turbotax. It thinks everyone has a 401K or something of the sort. I acutally am one of the few who have an actual retiremnt income from working as a state employee. I dont know why turbotax has not allowed for it this time. I filed last year with no problem. I am also concerned with the new deduction for seniors of $ 6000 in addtion tothe current filing. Does turbotax allow for tha. I may have to get out the pencil and file on paper this year. There were several bugs in turbotax in the previous years. Hope it gets figured out.
Just wait a couple days. The 1099R section is expected to be ready on Jan 21, 2026.
The 6,000/12,000 senior deduction will be calculated on 1040 Schedule 1-A page 2 Part V Enhanced Deduction for Seniors which goes to 1040 line 13b. It is separate and in addition to the Standard Deduction or your Itemized Deductions on 1040 line 12e. Turbo Tax automatically includes it based on your age and if you qualify.
Same issue ... Now Jan 21 and filing opens soon.
As of today 1/21/26 the retirement section is still not available.
FYI - I got tired of waiting so I tried to go into the 1099-R form directly from the FORMS option in toolbar essentially skipping the interview questions. I was able to fully replicate the 1099-R details without issue. Upon clicking SAVE, and returning to the Interview process, my income and refund were fully updated. Note - the interview view does not show the income amount - still shows as Pending Update. But I also ran the review and it found no issues. So even though the interview process isn't available, the manual direct input into the form seems to work.
Hi,
I just finished my return and the $6000 refund does appear to process correctly. Of course, there is an income limit of $75,000 to receive the full amount, but the proration on my income (which was slightly higher) is the same amount I manually calculated & I'm satisfied with their calculation.
I purchased the program (as I have for years) only to find that on the 20th of January it does not work! How can we reach customer service. It is fraud to sell a product that you know does not work. Why would you not have a huge disclaimer on this product at every location that is selling it. Intuit needs to refund money to retirees! An incomplete tax application is useless and they raised the price to 56 plus tax for 2025! I want to speak to the genius that decided retired people would be okay with purchasing their tax program that only works for OTHER people!
Today's update has resolved the issue in the 1099-R section. If you cannot reach it, follow these steps:
