It made me file my taxes before I was able to finish my jobs tax return and now it’d won’t give me the option to add it. What do I do

How did it make you file before you entered all your income?  You have to actually hit the big orange Transmit Returns Now button to file.  Did you efile?  Or does it say Ready to Mail?

You cannot change or add anything on the return that you e-filed.  It is too late, just like when you put an envelope in a US mailbox

Now you have to wait until the IRS either rejects or accepts your return. If your return is rejected, you will be able to go into your account and add or change it and resend it.

If the IRS accepts your return, then you have to wait until it has been fully processed and you have received your refund or paid the tax due. THEN you can prepare an amended tax return 1040X and mail it in. You cannot e-file an amended return.  Meanwhile, DO NOT change anything on your return until you start the amended return. If you did change or add the missing info then take it out and put your return back to the way it was when you first filed it.

The program cannot MAKE you do anything ... if you completed all 3 steps of the FILE tab and clicked on the orange Transmit now button then all you can do is wait for the IRS to either accept the return for processing  OR  reject it.   If it rejects you can make the needed corrections and resubmit the return.  

However, if accepted you MUST wait until the IRS fully processes the return AND you have your original refund in hand ... only then can you start the amendment process which will not be ready until after 2/12.
