If your return is rejecting for incorrect SSN for the primary taxpayer, the IRS uses the
information from the SSA (Social Security Administration) , so you should check
with the SSA at 1-800-772-1213 to see what they have on file. If you have had a recent name change you may need to use your prior name in case the SSA records have not reached the IRS yet. If you can't get it to go
through, you can print out and mail a paper return, but then you could end up
having the same problem next year.
