I can't figure out how to report my son's residency status on Dec. 31, 2016. He is deceased as of May 14, 2016. He lived in NY until he died.

I can't figure out how to report my son's residency status on Dec. 31, 2016. He is deceased as of May 14, 2016. He lived in NY until he died.

It depends, and we are horribly sorry for your loss.  If he was in school, or some other temporary absence, he is considered living with you for the entire year.  You will put 12 months in the system if that is the case.  You will have to provide the date of his passing as well.  Again, we are so sorry for your loss.
