Issue with filling out a State information worksheet for electronic filing. Says not to have spouse SSN so I remove it, and then it gives me an error for not having it

The state rules and your filing status could be coming into play. Which state? What is your filing status? Paying tax deductible alimony?

Georgia, married filing jointly, and not pay tax deductible on alimony

I would verify your filing status for your state return. If you are filing jointly, you will obviously need your spouses ssn.
