Did you enter a military W-2 on your return?   The military offer is still valid.   See that link.   Enlisted (E-1 through E-9) active duty and reserve personnel are eligible for the Military Discount. Commissioned officers, warrant officers, veterans, retirees and National Guard do not qualify for free TurboTax Online discounts at this time.

In proud support of your service and sacrifice, enlisted active military and reservists can file both their federal and state taxes for FREE using any of our TurboTax Online products, which include Free, Deluxe, and Premium.

Not valid for TurboTax Experts or TurboTax Desktop products.

I am having the same issue. It won't let me select any products except the expert help ones and they all cost money.

It depends on your military status. The offer valid for active duty and reservists of an enlisted rank (E-1 through E-9) with a W2 from DFAS.

If you are a Commissioned Officer (O-rank), Warrant Officer (W-rank), or a Veteran/Retiree, you no longer qualify for the "Free" military offer. You may receive a small discount (often 20% via USAA), but the federal and state filing will not be $0.

If you are still eligible for the discount, you can sign up here. Discount applied when you're ready to file.
