Unless you are running a business, these are medical insurance premiums reported on Schedule A.
Medical expenses are reduced by 7.5% of adjusted gross income, so the tax benefit may be reduced. In addition. Unless you must itemize, TurboTax optimizes between itemized deductions and the standard deduction. If the standard deduction produces a better tax benefit, you get no tax benefit from the BCBS premiums.
However, if these premiums are being paid under Obamacare coverage (the Affordable Care Act), different reporting is required. You need Form 1095-A, and would enter the data in the ACA section of Medical expenses so that Form 8962 would be included with your return.
No one can see your screen or your tax return -----so we do not know what "this" is to you. If you are paying out of pocket for your BC/BS insurance then it can be entered as a medical expense.
MEDICAL EXPENSES
The medical expense deduction has to meet a rather large threshold before it can affect your return. The amount of medical (including dental, vision, etc.) expenses that will count toward itemization is the amount that is OVER 7.5% of your adjusted gross income. You should only enter the amount that you paid in 2025—do not include any amounts that were covered by insurance or that are still outstanding. Of course, your medical expenses plus your other itemized deductions still have to exceed your standard deduction before you will see a difference in your tax due or refund.
To enter your medical expenses go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Medical>Medical Expenses
2025 STANDARD DEDUCTION AMOUNTS
SINGLE $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
MARRIED FILING SEPARATELY $15,750 (65 or older/legally blind +1600)
MARRIED FILING JOINTLY $31,500 (65 or older/legally blind + $1600)
HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD $23,625 (65 or older/legally blind + $2000)
If you have a 1095A for marketplace health insurance then go to:
To enter your 1095A go to Federal>Deductions and Credits> Medical>Affordable Care Act (Form 1095A)
