Can you please clarify your question? Have you already filed your return and are you needing to file an amended return? What identification number are you referring to?
The signature code ID number
I didn't have my agi number. I do now. Can I reopen my federal tax and send it?
If you have not filed your return and it states "ready to mail" then please follow the steps below to e-file your return:
I already filed the return. is there somewhere to open it and add my signature identity code?
Did you receive a rejection notice from the IRS? If so, here is how you can go in and enter your 2018 AGI:
I already filed the form. I missed entering the signature Identify code. Is there some way of fixing this so the refund gets process?
Was your return accepted by the IRS? Please see this TurboTax FAQ if you want to check the status of a return that you e-filed.
If your return was accepted, then you don't need to add the signature ID. Your refund is being processed.
If your return was rejected (for not having the signature ID), then you can enter the signature ID or you can use your Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from 2018. This is line 7 on your 2018 1040.
I assume that you are asked for this ID when you are at the end of the return in the File process.
Do you have a question regarding the IP PIN? Check the status of your return. If it has been accepted, you are done with filing. If you need to add the IP PIN, use this link.
I need help finding my identity code
Please check your spam/junk folder to see if the email went to that location. If you don't see it, is it possible that you used a different email when you initially set up your TurboTax Online account? You can find out which/how many accounts you have linked to your email by following the steps listed in the TurboTax FAQ, How many TurboTax accounts do I have?
You can also have the code sent to your telephone number linked to your account. If you no longer have access to that number, update your info with this form.
