Is there anyway that the $50 state filing fee can be waived? Medical issues and back taxes are the reason. Can anyone help?

Any chance you qualify for the Free File program? I recommend you check it out. You can log in with your same username and password. See FreeFile delivered by Intuit TurboTax.

Good morning and thank you for your response did free for federal but they say thay to do Ga state they charge the fee. I believe especially if I owe back taxes. I havent been able to talk to anyone directly.

Normally the fee is in place, no matter. You are always welcome to follow the instructions here to contact customer service to see if there is anything they can do to assist you.
